Warhammer Age of Sigmar Spearhead Magazine – Complete Contents Guide (Issues 1-90) and Collectors Guide. This is a work in progress post. We don’t actually have all of the issues announced yet. But as they get announced or leaked, we will update this page so that you can see them easily.
This year, Hachette return to the Mortal Realms with Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Spearhead, their newest Warhammer partwork magazine following the success of Mortal Realms, Imperium, Stormbringer, and Combat Patrol.
Rather than focusing on two large armies, Spearhead shifts the formula toward multiple smaller playable forces, just like Combat Patrol, the only difference being that rather than the extra units/models that you got in combat patrol. With Spearhead, you just get more armies. There are also 2 mini terrain sets as well.

Predicted Issue Structure
While there has not been any announcements yet on the way this is going to be distrbuted, we can make some guesses based on how Combat Patrol was released. Unlike earlier AOS collections which focused on 2 main factions or Grand Alliances, Spearhead is likely to rotate armies every few issues.
We are predicting around 15 paint issues in total with each spearhead taking up 6 or 7 issues. There will also be 2 Terrain issues. The Skaven and Stormcast magazines totaled 8 magazines between the 2 factions. Now this may seem like great value. These 2 spearheads for £69.92. Throw in a 9th magazine for the later to appear Terrain set and you effectively have almost everything from Games Workshops £134 Spearhead Starer Set that costs £107.20 from Diss Games on Warbay. That is a saving of just under £30, but only if you cherry pick your issues. Add in the sprinkle of paint issues and your saving soon melts away on those issues. The unfortunate thing about many of the paint issues is that all the paints in most issues can be picked up for less that £5 from most hobby shops. So spending £10 to get £5 worth of paints can feel like a kick in teeth.

Value highlights
While a lot of these magazines will be very good value. Almost every issue will be at least half the RRP. Most £40 units are most likely going to be spread over 2 issues. Most £20 units will be in 1 issue. But a few extra value items such as the Carosaur and the Treelord will be very good value as they will be £50-£60 models for £20. If my predicted troop units that will be in 1 magazine are correct, this will mean a good number of £30-£40 units for £10, much like the Combat Patrol has been. The initial 2 magazines are very good value as well. I would say that issue 2 is possibly the best in the series.
